Skipper, Zoe Taylor
Zoe is a true Sydney local. She spent her youth on the water as a dedicated rower before jumping ship into sailing in her late teens.
After beginning a promising career in investment banking Zoe decided to throw it all in one day, to the dismay of many, for an adventure at sea.
She followed her sailing dream for over six years sailing two handed half way around the world and working on super yachts & race yachts both overseas and in Australia before deciding to pursue her career again.
Using her diverse business acumen, Zoe was quickly scooped up into the major infrastructure boom that was happening in Australia before moving into energy management and automation with Schneider Electric, who she works with today and who are also sponsoring her in the race.
"It is truly amazing when your career and passions align. Schneider has a saying Life Is On and I am experiencing first-hand what that means, by enabling energy management and automation where you live work and play".
Schneider Electric provides energy management & automation solutions to industries globally and to some of the yachts in the 2017 Sydney to Hobart including the super maxis; Wild Oats, Black Jack and Info Track.
