With an ATV340 frame size 1-3, how do I keep the electronics/communications active if line voltage is removed?

Cause:
Needs to program the drive while line voltage isn't available

Resolution:
When the switch is in position SRC, the internal drive 24VDC is used to supply the control block and in same time the Digital input.

When external 24VDC must be used on DI, the switch in position EXT disconnect the drive internal 24Vdc from the DI. Like that the external 24VDC will supply drive DI (via the DISUP).
But to avoid have internal supply and external supply in same time, then the DISUP will not supply the drive control block. This will not provide 24VDC to drive control part in order to maintain supply for communication module.

To supply the drive control block and maintain option module when power is OFF, you must use the input 24VDC and 0V.



There is function in the drive to disable the 24VDC and so avoid to supply other device with drive 24VDC.


 
So the connection with external 24Vdc to supply Di and also control block should be:
Switch in EXT position.
External 24Vdc on the drive DISUP and COM  to provide external 24Vdc to DI
EExternal 24Vdc on 24V and 0  to provide external 24Vdc to control block and maintain option card.
Parameter S24V set to No.
