There is not a hard limit on the number of meters that can be daisy chained. The internal switch routes traffic out of either port (or both) depending on the destination address of the packet. The signal is driven from each meter and there is no signal degradation with additional meters. Each meter on the daisy chain will have a unique IP (internet protocol) address and the address space is very large. So there are no signal degradation issues and there are no address space issues. The limiting factor would eventually be latency and throughput, which depends on application specific issues such as what other devices are on the network and how much data is moving across the network.
