PUSH - Discrete IR Control to turn ON AV equipment

A lot of the time you have another button that will turn the unit on (besides the power toggle). In the case of Foxtel it is the 'Foxtel' button, for bluray players commonly 'Play' button turns them on.

Once you have this button, you essentially have discrete control over the device.

Using Foxtel as an example, you always use the Foxtel button to turn the unit on as it is never going to turn the unit off, then within the off macro you have the foxtel button code followed by a small delay and then the power toggle code, which will always result in the Foxtel box turning off, i.e. if it is off it will turn it on for a short time then turn off, if it is on the Foxtel button is pressed then the power toggle will turn the unit off.
