Ask a Question

What can cause an OPF2 (output phase fault) on the ATV61 or ATV71 drives?

Eflex with bypass option is tripping on OPF2 output phase loss.

Product line:
Altivar ATV61 Eflex with bypass option

All models, all serial numbers
The drive starts to run but the output contractor has not pulled in.

OPF2 is detected when all three motor phases are open between the output of the drive and the motor (or when the motor current is VERY  low (less than 1/16th of the drives rated current).

All enclosed or MCC installed drives with a bypass option should  have the OPL[Output Phase Loss] detection in the Fault  menu 1.8  set to  no ( turned off) since the bypass circuit includes an overload relay for motor protection.

Check for loose connections and open contactors or disconnects between the drive and the motor to correct this issue.
