News30/07/2012Schneider Electric strengthens renewable energy business in AustraliaSchneider Electric has identified the renewable energy market as a key growth opportunity for 2012 and beyond, and will increase its business focus in the Australian commercial, residential and solar farm markets. Schneider Electric’s increased focus in Australia is part of a broader global strategy to strengthen expertise in the renewable energy market, especially solar. Following the acquisition of solar and wind specialist Xantrex in 2008, Schneider Electric has achieved strong global success in the solar market in particular, by providing complete photovoltaic solutions for any size installations, from residential rooftops to utility-scale farms. “As energy demand and consumption of electricity continues to grow, it’s important to meet this demand without increasing the carbon footprint,” said David Gardner, Vice President Power Business, Schneider Electric. “We have had a number of successful renewable energy and solar installations across the globe to date, increasing our knowledge and specialist expertise in the market, and we are looking at bringing this to Australia.” As part of the expansion, Schneider Electric and Clipsal by Schneider Electric, Australia’s number one brand of electrical products, accessories and solutions, will launch the latest additions to its commercial and residential solar range at the Clean Energy Week Conference in Sydney between 25 and 27 July. “We have strengthened our capabilities to best service renewable energy needs by introducing a new line of solar solutions to expand our current range,” said Stace Tzamtzidis, General Manager Energy Efficiency, Schneider Electric. “As energy costs continue to rise, there are incentives for both businesses and consumers to make savings, and benefit from the advantages solar solutions offer.” The Xantrex GT Series includes a basic Grid-Tie system including Grid-Tie Converters and a GT System Control Panel. A high performance and effective solution for homeowners to save money and increase green energy production The Conext XW Series combines a number of high-quality solutions that can be integrated into the home’s electrical system.It is an adaptable solution for grid-interactive and off-grid solar applications. The Conext TL Series is the latest commercial offering which includes the Conext TL Three Phase Grid-Tie Inverters. The 15kw and 20kw grid-tie solar inverters are designed specifically for outdoor use on commercial buildings. A system that can improve operating efficiencies above 97 per cent – offering businesses return on investment. Schneider Electric launched the new range of inverters at the Clean Energy Week Conference on July 25 at the Sydney Convention Centre. Clean Energy Week is Australia’s largest event for the renewable energy and energy efficiencies industry. ![]()
